Finally decided to do the first 3 games in the group stages as cant get the time to do whole tournament (doubt many can). Having looked at all the various combinations i decided the first 3 games were the best out of all options, cant plan the quarters (if we get there) or semis as we dont know where we will play. Think ive made a pretty good choice as it happens.
Eng v Aus in Melbourne, fly over to Wellington to play NZ then what could be an interesting game and atmosphere Scotland in Christchurch then back home.
Be good if a few more Barmies are going over for same games, getting my costs tomorrow but im reckoning 2500 for flights and accommodation and tickets should be a bout right.
Not cheap but it seems too long to wait for next tours down under.

Not booked flights yet but looking at about £800 - Only booked accomodation for Wellington so far

I'm going, doing 3 games against NZ, Scotland and Sri Lanka. Can't wait haven't been back to NZ since 2006, just hoping that there's a good following so we can make it a great atmosphere.

Good to hear a few more troops going over, ive actually had my itinerary through today from the lad at a certain well known travel company, hes sorted out my last 3 trips down under now so if anyone wants a recommended company and contact i can vouch him so give me a shout and ill pass on his details.

Anyway heres my trip and cant wait, 6 days in Melbourne, then over to NZ.

11th Feb - Depart Heathrow to Melbourne
13th Feb - Arrive Melbourne - 06 Nights
19th Feb - Depart Melbourne / Arrive Wellington - 02 Nights Wellington.
21st Feb - Interislander Ferry - Wellington to Picton (South Island) - followed by the Coastal train to Kaikoura (approx. 2 hours 20 mins).
21st Feb - 01 Night Kaikoura.
22nd Feb - Coastal Train from Kaikoura to Christchurch (approx. 2 hours 40 mins).
22nd Feb - 02 Nights in Christchurch.
24th Feb - Depart Christchurch for Heathrow.
25th Feb - Arrive Heathrow.

Costing us £1879 including hotels so pleased with that.

Thoughts with that planned trip anyone?? sounds good to me. Any plans for a BA HQ??? if not suppose those doing Melbourne can make pj obriens unofficial HQ.

Yeah, must admit I was happy with the price. What's more surprising is I got it from our local independent travel agent ! Tried the internet too but couldn't better it.

I'm going to some games, arrive in NZ on 14th Feb and leave 6th March. Costing a small fortune but going to be so worth it.

Got all my flights for £1111 which Dave Shepherd would be proud of!
