First time for me too! Just booked games against Australia and Afghanistan, hoping to be on a working holiday visa in Australia so the world cup is excellent timing!

Heading to the New Zealand and Scotland games (as well as Scotland vs Afghanistan).

First time watching England abroad. Can't wait.

Are there likely to be many England fans around?

Bearing in mind our fairly insipid form in ODI's, the cost of living in those two countries and that they are half a world and 4hours travelling apart, I would doubt i there would be more than a few hundred.
In India last time there were seldom more than a couple of hundred despite it being less than half the distance, price and no Aussies to put up with.
There are of course some good numbers of loyal expats in both countries, so you will never be short of good company wherever you are. Have a great time.

I'm planning on going to the MCG game 14th Feb. Is there a certain stand the Barmy Army will be in? wheres the best place to purchase tickets? Obviously its massive so dont want to be on the other side of the ground to the Army! Cheers.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure what zones you mean though. What website do you buy them from? Does the website allocate to an England area then?

If you go to the tickets section of the Cricket World Cup website there should be a button on the left of the screen that allows you to look at a venue map. The England Supporter Zone is M1 to M7 in the lower tier.

When you then go to Get Tickets you can choose a ticket category and England Supporter Zone is one of the options.

Hopefully see you in there.
