Perhaps he wants to feel young again. Working with Keedy, Solanki, Lewis and Batty ought to allow that to happen.

Meanwhile it's good news for English cricket, because he will be taking up yet another place in the team, which will no doubt persuade another promising Surrey youngster to move to a county where they might actually stand a chance of developing into a good player.
