He also stands a chance of being paid in full and on time, unlike with SLC. Cricket Australia has a better credit rating with the banks than SLC.

Unfortunately this is the kind of behaviour that T20 encourages. If you try and make cricket like any other sport, then I suppose it's not surprising that the behaviour of its participants descends to the level of those who play other sports.

I expect Cricket Australia will be cock a hoop at the extra publicity this will bring their tournament. Will Warney now be getting a bonus to go with the part of his salary that's already reportedly funded directly by Cricket Australia, I wonder?

 I tend to agree.
According to the SMH ( there's better quality video on this ) Warne faces " severe disciplinary action " but I'll believe that when I see it.
It's clear Samuels has been bigged up as the bad boy of this competition and Warne as the Aussie golden boy by organisers desperate to improve what has been a lacklustre tournament.
I don't mind a bit of hit and giggle T20 to pass the time but if this effing and snarling is the future of cricket then no thanks.

There were 45K at the MCG yesterday. The biggest crowd EVER for a domestic cricket match in Australia.

It was hot, it was a weekend and it was in the latter stages of the tournament - overall attendances have been well down.

 1 match ban for Warne. He was a fkin disgrace I thought, also looked like he bottled it after the bat went flying, thought he'd be running over squaring up to Marlon, looked a little frightened to me.
