I've always liked Mike Hussey as he always gave 100% in every game even when the Convicts were losing. And he's shown class by getting out when he's in good form. That's one less tricky customer for England to worry about next summer. |

Their batting is going to look very light next year. How many of their starting XI will have experienced an Ashes win? Clarke, is that it? |

He's obviously in love with the game and though 37 has only been playing Tests for 7 years. He's a proud Aussie. Given the weakness in their batting surely the selectors would agree to anything - time off, rest between Tests - to get him to play another 12 months. It is very odd |

It is very odd He's heading towards 40, got a young family and has obsessively devoted his entire adult life and much of his youth to cricket. I'd imagine a toss-up between long tours of India and England and playing domestic cricket and seeing more of his family swayed his decision. The classy bit is to get out while you're on top. |

Hey, don't really care why he's hung up his bat. He just has and the Aussies are weaker for that. Their problem, not ours! |
