I'm not really a big fan of Ian Botham. Yes,he's legendary in his exploits on the cricket field, but his commentary,or punditry,call it whatever,doesn't cut it with me. Like i've said before on the forum,he always states the obvious. But one thing i do agree with him is his comments on the background staff,and theres's plenty of um. Do we really need all these hangers on? I remember the Sri Lankan tour,think it was 07/08, queueing up for the 50p :):) tickets outside the ground at Kandy. The England Team bus pulls up,i couldn't believe how many "experts" got off the bus before the players did. These people will be on "a pretty penny". Is it any wonder that Test Match ticket prices are going through the roof in this country,?

The 82-page diet sheet will pass into cricket folklore as the defining moment when England's over-inflated backroom set-up exploded in Mr Creosote-like public ridicule.

After day one of every Test match, the following must be available in the England dressing room 20 minutes before the end of play:

â-  Moroccan spiced griddled chicken fillets with lime and coriander mayo;

â-  Lamb and pea kofta kebabs with mint yoghurt;

â-  Roasted vegetable and halloumi kebabs with red pepper dip;

â-  Ginger and garlic king prawn kebabs with garlic mayo;

â-  Selection of whole-wheat French bread pizzas (parma ham and tomato/feta and red onion)

â-  Selection of sandwiches (grilled aubergine, red pepper, red onion and basil puree; Cajun salmon, yoghurt and cucumber; Thai citrus chicken and rocket; avocado, raw slaw and butterbean; turkey breast, basil and pine nut);

â-  Almond and cinnamon flapjacks;

â-  Banana and peanut bars (protein based maxi-muscle) and;

â-  Chocolate and coconut truffles

And poor old Monty still can't get a shag.
