Re:Transfers There are plenty of taxis at the airport and fares to Christchurch where most of the tours are staying shouldn't be more than a tenner. Confirm the fare with the driver beforehand. Bridgetown the capital is only ten miles away by dual carriageway and Christchurch is just off this about half way up. Bajan taxi drivers are by and large an honest lot so don't worry too much about being ripped off. |

Booked with these people, flights paid for, accomodation and transfers not. After 3 probably expensive phone calls, we are back in the same room originally booked at the Time Out at the Gap and have pre-booked the transfers with a really helpful lady called Mary from Barbados overseas travel, so back to the same holiday as planned.. Was advised by several people that if anybody else is in our position and has flights booked not to lose them and book another package or another route, we looked at coming in via Miami and it was "only" £570 but decided against trying to claim all of the package back and just getting our accomodation sorted instead. What a nightmare though just 2 weeks before, stress levels through the roof yesterday but now back to the "very excited pain in the backside to the rest of the family" 40 odd year old I have become as it gets nearer!!! |

Flinty Thanks for the message, we arrive on the Manchester flight on the 25th so deffo up for a beer! Like you starting to think we were jinxed - only the weather to worry about now! - Looks like every day is forecasting showers but I guess showers here and showers in Barbados might not mean the same thing or have the same effect?? |

Hi: Showers tend to be fast and furious at this time of the year in Barbados as it gets quite humid and actually a bit of rain comes as some welcome relief. The good thing is that any rain delays are usually relatively short and the pitches dry out quickly. The first day looks the most iffy. For anyone interested here's the long-range forecast. http://www.accuweather.com/world-foreca ... N&metric=1 |

AINSY Wrote: The man at BOS did confirm that all match tickets have been purchased and are to be delivered to hotels the day after arrival. Ainsy Has anyone else received confirmation about tickets purchased through Whitehall companies? I bought tickets but haven't receieved them so I'm hoping they will be available at the hotel or somewhere when I arrive but I haven't managed to confirm. Hotel (Coral Sands) have been great about confirming my acccomodation but they don't know anything about the tickets. John |
