It only cost £663 per person, which was about £250 per person less than anything else I could find. Yes, it is a little way out from Bridgetown, but you can hire a mini-moke to get you around. It's great fun and it will still cost way less than staying anywhere else. Virgin provide free transfers to and from the airport, so wait until you get there to book a car. From what I can find out, tickets will be easy to obtain. WICB ticketing dept say tickets cost between US$25-75 and can be bought there, or direct by phone from their Barbados office. Gullivers Travel also have tickets available for £77 each in the UK, tel 01684 293175. Can't wait to go now!! FUCK THAT loads of tix believe me got 4 tix for An cat dubh off here for 55 bajan dollars each I was quoted £230 for a ticket for 5 days of test match in Barbados from UK agents. After listening to advice I decided to buy tickets when I was in Barbados. I got tickets in the same stand and block the day before at Barbados ticket office for around £115! I did have to queue for an hour though. Having said that I noticed much longer queues at the ticket office on the day of the match. The ticket office is a portakabin with 3 windows. UK agents are raking it in. |

Place where I am staying, Silver Sands, will get tickets, for BD$50 fee (about £19). That's OK by me as it means I don't have to queue for 2-3 hours. Greenidge/Haynes Upper sold out for 29 March. |

Cheers Gtp. I fly next Thursday, which I why I was gonna get the hotel to get me a ticket, seeing as I didn't fancy doing on the morning of the Friday match. The hotel have told me it'll cost $$50 to get them for me, and I'd have to book by 24th, so if you can sort something out it'd be great as I'm sure I could get through £54 of water, beer and Rum, so count me in. The only problem is it's just me, so I wont be increasing the numbers by a large amount, DOH! Hope you get your flight and can enjoy a stunning performance by England!!! PS. Is there anywhere to hang my AFC Hornchurch flag??? |

There's four of us definitely up for the Party Stand on the Friday, thanks for the reply to my PM earlier George. I fly out tomorrow but I'll try to keep an eye on here over the weekend - anyone got any tips on cheap internet places in Dover / SLG area? |
