Nice to know that the ECB are thinking of the fans in Antigua. Shame that they couldn't do that on the India tour. All the way to Mohali with no way of getting home for Xmas if you stayed for 5 days. Spineless with the BCCI but suddenly find balls when dealing with the WICB. Shows us where the money is! |

One could say that lessons may have been learnt from the farcicle decision making process that occured in India.....more likely something to do with the type of supporters in the Antigua region, cruise ships, ECB affiliated tour groups escorted by the great and good etc, and as you say, its a bit easier to dictate terms with the powerless WICB as oppose to the all mighty BCCI. At least the guys who made the trip are guarenteed a bit more cricket than the 10 halfcocked balls that were sent down yesterday, even if their onward travel arrangments don't allow them to see all 4/5 days of the new 3rd test. Hope they leave no stone unturned in the preparation at Port of Spain for you all mate. |

The decision to remain in Antigua at the Rec was indeed forced through by the ECB, and I agree it was driven by the amount of people on once-in-a-lifetime trips to the Caribbean on cruise lines. Play on a different island, and the ECB would have had some truly shocking publicity. |

Very true. There are lots of the kind of supporters in Antigua that Giles Clarke wants in English grounds. Not like the kind of fans who travelled to India. He would no doubt dismiss them as "anoraks." |
