Pietersen done well anyway so what does it matter about Shah? and Bell gets out to a seamer 3rd ball, so nothing to do with being able to play spin. Team selection not just down to the captain. |

Good point Maidenover, but as a big Bell fan you can't deny he's had a shocking India tour. I still can't believe Shah didn't play a part last winter or in the summer, he's a class batsman and despite his much-rumoured "attitude" issues he really should be given a run in the Test side. The Windies is a great opportunity for him. |

I was saying that Pietersen shouldn't be playing himself with a fractured rib, and have been made to look silly. I still agree though that Shah should have been playing. |

Agree Bell is having a shocker. Mind you, not sure Shah would have been on his toes to get that run out of Sehwag? |

I quite agree, only because you will only find Owais in the slips or 3rd man when England field. But i think my original point was it appears now days to be harder to get out of the side then get in it.Only one change to the top six in 2008 and that was a forced one when Vaughn retired. Maybe for a change in 2009 we will pick players that are in form.Who knows we may even win a test match if we tried that. |

What's the odds of Vaughan replacing them both in the Windies? We find out on the 28th apparently. |

I've said this before but I find KP one of those genei (spelling?) who despite their talent totally frustrate me. Sort of the Paul Gascoign of Cricket. Love him but wished for more. He is an entertainer but I wish when he reached his mental landmark of around 70 (in Tests I'm talking), he'd have a talk to himself and resist the temptation for a swashbuckling 6 and PLOD on to a match winning big score that he's capable of, of course (xcuse the typing I've just been to an Xmas party - Xmas here? humbug.) I've not seen his big innings owing to the fact it's not broadcast in this ferrel land but well done KP. Funny enough I still get the "he's a Bokkie" jibe from these Hillbillies regardless of what facts I give them back. Happy Christmas and whatever anybody says about the 'state' of Britain now, it's the best place in the world by far. Harry The Prince |
